Incredible. Starting around the 9th track the rest of the album is like colors jumping off a page at you. I've come to expect nothing less from this collective of producers and DJ's that are now a decade deep in releases.
Favorite track: Vax 1 - Mermaid.

Tour De Manège est fier de vous présenter l'aboutissement de longues années de travail et la conclusion d'une histoire commencée en 2013. Plus qu'une aventure musicale, c'est une aventure humaine qui a débuté il y a 9 ans et qui perdure depuis.
A travers ce projet et plus particulièrement ce vinyle, nous fermons, du moins pour l'instant, la parenthèse de cette saga de 5 volumes. Après la genèse du volume 1, «Le Train Fantôme» du volume 2, le «Freak Circus» du volume 3 et «The Wizards» du volume 4, nous vous présentons la conclusion de cette épopée, avec le volume 5 «The Machinist».

Un robot s'éveille d'un long sommeil. Dans l'obscurité, ses yeux s'ouvrent et contemplent une nature sauvage, dense et luxuriante. L'androïde se met en quête de parcourir l'espace qui l'entoure. Il semble qu'il n'y ait plus aucune trace de vie, qu'elle soit animale ou humaine... Il se rend vite compte qu'il est entouré d'appareils rouillés, de métaux éméchés et de grands engrenages poussiéreux.
Parcourant les vestiges d'un ancien temps, notre héros, désormais véritable petit machiniste, trifouille, bricole et farfouille les mécanismes qui l'entourent afin de leur insuffler un regain d'énergie, une seconde vie. Progressivement, tout se met en branle, les lumières clignotent, les rouages fonctionnent à nouveau, ça repart, ça remarche.
Un parc d'attraction ressurgit maintenant de l'oubli et revient progressivement à la réalité. L'ombre des manèges danse dans le ciel étoilé, l’humanoïde parcourt les allées du parc et contemple ce qui était jadis un endroit ou cris et éclats de rire s'entrechoquaient.
Très lentement, mais sûrement, le robot s'éloigne. Il jette un dernier regard sur cet endroit si familier et atypique qui semble lui évoquer quelques réminiscences... L'esprit apaisé, il disparaît au loin, dans la pénombre, laissant le parc fonctionner, témoin d'une liberté retrouvée.

Tour De Manège is proud to present the culmination of long years of work and the conclusion of a story that began in 2013. More than a musical adventure, it is a human adventure that was repeated 9 years ago and that has persisted ever since.
Through this project and more particularly this vinyl, we close, at least for the moment, the parenthesis of this saga of 5 volumes. After the genesis of volume 1, "Le Train Fantôme" of volume 2, "Freak Circus" of volume 3 and "The Wizards" of volume 4, we present to you the conclusion of this epic, with volume 5 "The Machinist" .

A robot awakes from a long sleep. In the darkness, his eyes open and contemplate a savage, thick and lush nature. The android goes in search to browse the space around him. It seems there’s no sign of life, animal or human… He quickly figures out that he’s surrounded by rusty devices, damaged metal and large dusty gearwheels. Wandering the remnants from another time, our hero, is now a true little machinist. He tampers, tinks and fishes around the mecanisms surrounding him in order to inject a new energy, a second life. Gradually, everything is gearing up, lights blink, cogs work again. It’s relaunching, it’s working well again. An amusement park re-emerges now from oblivion and comes gradually back to reality. The carousels’ shade is dancing in the starry sky, the humanoid is browsing the park’s aisles and contemplates what’s once was a place where shouts and bursts of laughter were clashing. Very slowly, but undoubtedly, the robot wards off. He casts a last gaze at this so familiar and unusual place that evokes memories, like a retrieved imaginary world. Soothed, he vanishes away, in the shade, leaving the park operating, witness of a retrieved liberty.

After listening to Degiheugi's large discography, my choice settled on this album. It seems to me to be the most successful. I appreciate the richness of hiphop trip-pop jazzy-chill nu-soul sounds. The French vocal are amazing.
